WHAT MAKES ORAL, HEAD AND NECK PATHOLOGY LABORATORY A PREMIER DIAGNOSTIC CENTER IN THE SPECIALTY?
WHAT MAKES ORAL, HEAD AND NECK PATHOLOGY LABORATORY A PREMIER DIAGNOSTIC CENTER IN THE SPECIALTY?
Oral and maxillofacial pathology is a specialty of dentistry. Surgical pathology is a specialty of medicine. Dr. Robison’s training and board certification in both fields results in a fusion that allows understanding and evaluation of lesions from dental and medical perspectives. Cancers emanating throughout the body, namely breast, lung, kidney, leukemias and lymphomas, to name a few can metastasize to the oral cavity. Sometimes these oral lesions appear before the original tumor is detected. As an experienced and certified surgical pathologist, Dr. Robison can recognize, diagnose and report such lesions. This unparalleled bridging of both specialties is what sets Oral, Head and Neck Pathology Laboratory apart and above all others. It is the first and only laboratory of its kind in the nation.

Patients afflicted with oral and head and neck cancer need information and options. Oral, Head and Neck Pathology Laboratory is a referral center for diagnosis and information with the goal of improving patients’ lives through accurate, reliable and consistently excellent service.

We are committed to follow strict quality assurance guidelines, participate in self- improvement programs and protect patient’s confidentiality. Integrity, responsibility and competence are of paramount importance at all levels in the laboratory.
